<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information medium, with a coloring material receiving layer, which shows high handling safety, the capability of printing a high-quality image and sufficient surface strength. <P>SOLUTION: The information medium has the coloring material receiving layer formed on a substrate. The coloring material receiving layer is formed of a first coating liquid and a second coating liquid, each of a different kind, applied in that order.
