<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which is water-resistant, and shows blocking properties even after getting wet with water and printing suitability. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording medium which has a thermosensitive color developing layer containing a dye precursor and a developer formed on a support and a protecting layer formed on the thermosensitive color developing layer. The protecting layer contains an ammonium salt which is a copolymer of a maleic anhydride with a molecular weight of 1,000 to 100,000 and an α-olefin represented by the general formula, H<SB>2</SB>C=CH-C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n+1</SB>(wherein "n" is an integer of 6 to 30). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
