<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a storage medium from being kept unremoved by asking the user to remove it during photographic printing. <P>SOLUTION: After a user uses a display/operation part 13 to select a photographic image selection operation, a control part 15 provides control to execute photographic printing preparation processing including processing of reading in photographic image data corresponding to the photographic image selected in the photographic image selection operation from a storage medium 5 to a storage part 14 in a device body part, during a series of user operations until a start of printing by the display/operation part 13. The control, after a user operation of starting printing (during photographic printing), ensures the condition where the storage medium 5 can be removed from the device body part, and during the photographic printing, displays a medium removal message 1350a showing that the storage medium 5 can be removed to thereby ask the user to remove the storage medium 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
