<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize supplying of a sufficient power from a capacitor group 70 to a motor 20 at an engine starting time. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply controller for a vehicle supplies power from the capacitor groups 70a and 70b connected in series to the motor 20 by connecting in series the capacitor groups 70a and 70b connected in parallel at normal time and switching switches 170, 180 at the engine starting time.
