<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption of an elevator by utilizing external light actively when there is external light in the daytime. <P>SOLUTION: The inside of a car 2 is made bright by external light supplied through an open shaft 8 and a view glass 3 to ensure sufficient illumination even if light of a part of each lighting system is reduced. A battery unit 10 is charged by electric power obtained by each exterior panel 4 constituted by solar battery panels and each door panel 4. Electric power stored in the battery unit 10 is taken out when external light does not reach the inside of the open shaft 8 after sunset to generate power supply voltage for illumination in order to light each exterior lighting system 12 provided in the exterior panel 4 and each lighting system arranged in the car 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
