<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a back diffusion demodulator of a low power by using a diffusion code generating circuit which does not require synchronization control to perform back diffusion. <P>SOLUTION: A correlation is obtained between an inputted spread signal and an internally generated diffusion code, a filter extracts a data signal band, the amplitude of an output of the filter is detected to detect a peak signal. Whenever the peak signal is obtained by amplitude detection, a switch 15 alternately changes the on/off of a reference signal input to a diffusion code generator 14.
