PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an internal resistance value of a secondary battery in a mounted state on a vehicle. SOLUTION: This internal resistance value calculating method includes steps for: detecting an ON condition of a SMR, a step (S204) for acquiring a current value in response to the detection (S202), acquiring a voltage value of the battery (S206), calculating the internal resistance value based on the current value and the voltage value (S208), and outputting a calculated result (S210).
