PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application method which can produce a fixation member having a curvature for obtaining a print excellent in gloss without encountering coating film defect (cissing) and film peeling and can inhibit the fixation member from being peeled when repeatedly used and to provide a fixation member produced by the application method. SOLUTION: The application method comprises applying a coating fluid which has hydroxy groups and forms a coating film when crosslinked to a substrate having a curvature and is characterized in that the hydrogen bond componentγH of the surface energy of the substrate is 8 mN/m or higher.
