PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially and efficiently produce high-grade filament nonwoven fabrics slight in defects including fluffs and flip-up and excellent in dimensional stability. SOLUTION: The filament nonwoven fabric is produced by the following process: A thermoplastic resin is spun via a spinning nozzle and drawn into a group of filaments, which are continuously collected and accumulated on a mobile collecting surface and then subjected to thermal adhesion. In this process, first, the group of filaments are collected in between a 1st vertical roll and a 2nd vertical roll nipping the mobile collecting surface therebetween followed immediately by subjecting the resultant web to pressure contact with the 2nd vertical roll, subsequently the resulting web is subjected to thermal adhesion so as to be≤600 mm in distance between a point where the web is set apart from the mobile collecting surface to the pressure contact point of a thermal adhesion device( the distance of a bridging part ) at the downstream end of the mobile collecting surface. The filament nonwoven fabrics thus produced meet the following requirements: unevenness index B≤10, basis weight distribution R(%)≤15 and -1.0≤dry heat shrinkage SHD(%)≤1.0.
