PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using ghrelin for treating a low body weight and low body fat amount of an individual who has received gastrectomy. SOLUTION: This medicinal agent used for≥1 of the treatment of losses of body weight and body fat of the individual who has received the gastrectomy, the prevention and treatment of cachexia, the promotion of appetite, the acceleration of food ingestion, the acceleration of the body weight or the increase of the body fat amount, etc., contains the ghrelin or its analog as an active ingredient.
