PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat device for which the detecting a reliability of a human body detecting sensor is increased. SOLUTION: This toilet seat device is constituted in such a manner that the human body detecting sensor 19 is attached to the internal side of a surface panel 7 of a base section 1 which pivots a toilet seat body 2 and a toilet seat cover 2 in a manner to be freely tiltable. Thus, the human body detecting sensor 19 directly faces to a limited space region, and even if there is a small error, a detecting signal from the human body detecting sensor 19 surely reaches a subject to be detected. Therefore, the working of the human body detecting sensor 19 is ensured, and the usability of the toilet seat device can be further improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
