A paving slab for surface draining has a rectangular outline with stepped profiles (24, 26, 16) one two opposite edges to lock into similar slabs. The upper surface is provided with two drainage grooves (28, 30) at right angles to the joining edges and connecting with similar grooves on adjacent slabs. One or more apertures (32, 34) are provided in the block, parallel to the drainage grooves, to be filled with grass or gravel and providing a soak away property. The blocks can be laid as a drain along the bottom edges of an embankment with the V-shaped grooves providing a locating grip for cladding blocks laid onto the slope.
|
