The modular kit to erect a display or shelter (1) has a number of flat sections (2), in a variety of shapes and dimensions. They can be locked together at selected edges to build up a structure of an individual design, held up by supports (4). The flat sections are of a flexible and elastic material e.g. a plastics film, a woven with a plastics coating or a woven fabric. The sections can be held together by sliding clasp fasteners, press studs, contact burr fasteners, clips, snap fasteners, and the like.
