<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically collect obituaries from composition information and edit them for a webpage or mail. <P>SOLUTION: In a local composition device 10, an obituary identification part 22 searches newspaper composition for special symbols indicating an obituary start and end to extract obituaries, and a related article collection part 24 searches the other article area of the newspaper composition and other newspaper composition created in a given period after the former composition as using the names of the dead identified from the obituaries as keys to extract related articles.
