PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus for an electrostatic charge image developing toner which excels in productivity and has stable electrostatic chargeability even under high temperature and high humidity conditions. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the electrostatic charge image developing toner by using a wet preparation process of manufacturing toner particles by forming colored resin particles by granulation in water or organic solvent or their solvent mixture, then washing and drying the colored resin particles, the manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus for the electrostatic charge image developing toner comprising filtering out the colored resin particles from a liquid medium by a cake washing process and subjecting the colored resin particles to an ion exchange reaction in the state of holding the particles within a filter are provided.
