PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymerization toner having high quality and excellent stability of quality by using a washing method which is capable of uniform washing without washing insufficiency and has excellent reproducibility of washing operation. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a polymerization toner, colored polymer particles are washed by means of the following circulation washing method. That is, in the washing process after polymerization, dispersion liquid is supplied under compression from a slurry tank storing the dispersion liquid which contains the colored polymer particles obtained in the polymerization process to a supply port of a continuous pressure filtration apparatus by using the continuous pressure filtration apparatus, the dispersion liquid is filtered in the apparatus under stirring, the concentrated dispersion liquid is returned from a discharge port to the slurry tank, at the same time, washing liquid of the equivalent quantity of filtrate which is filtered by filtration is added to the slurry tank and dilutes the concentrated dispersion liquid and the dispersion liquid which is diluted by the washing liquid is circulated in the apparatus.
