PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vulcanization accelerator having good antiscorch properties and high aging resistance in the curing of rubber. SOLUTION: The vulcanization accelerator of rubber comprises a diaryl ditelluride represented by the formula (1): X-TeTe-Y (wherein X and Y are each independently a phenyl group, or a phenyl group with a 1-4C alkyl group). Preferably, X and Y each comprise the same functional group. The vulcanization accelerator is suitable for accelerating the vulcanization of diene rubbers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
