PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear coating agent, a method for preventing the discoloration and degradation of a wall surface, and a method for decreasing ultraviolet light passing through glass. SOLUTION: The clear coating agent is prepared by mixing a curable composition mainly comprising an alkoxysiloxane with 0.2-10 wt.% zinc oxide having an average particle size of 2μm or less. The method for preventing the discoloration and degradation of a wall surface of a building comprises coating the wall surface with the clear coating agent in a thickness of 50-150μm. The method for decreasing ultraviolet light passing through glass comprises coating a windowpane with the clear coating agent in a thickness of 50-150μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
