PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device allowing a damping force variable suspension device to be easily formed, easily installable on a vehicle, and allowing a suspension storage space to be effectively utilized. SOLUTION: Damping force generating mechanisms 17L and 17R generating damping forces in lower links 13L and 13R disposed rotatably in one direction in a rotating direction, i.e., in a torsional direction are disposed on a vehicle body side member. The damping force generating mechanisms are controlled in a low damping force state when a vehicle speed and a lateral acceleration are less than a set value by a damping force controller and in a high damping force when the vehicle speed or the lateral acceleration is equal to or more than the set value.
