<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system for suppressing consumption electric power for cooling a fuel cell during a stoppage of power generation. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises a fuel cell 1, a circulation flow passage 2 for circulating a cooling medium into the fuel cell 1, a heat exchanger 5 for discharging the heat of the cooling medium, a bypass flow passage 6 for flowing the cooling medium by bypassing the heat exchanger 5, a flow rate control means 7 for controlling the distribution rate between the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing into the heat exchanger 5 and the flow rate of the cooling medium into the bypass passage 6, and a cooling medium circulation means 4 for circulating the cooling medium into the circulation flow passage 2 and the bypass flow passage 6. During the stoppage of the power generation of the fuel cell, the control means 7 controls the distribution rate between the cooling medium flow rate flowing into the heat exchanger 5 and the cooling medium flow rate flowing into the bypass flow passage 6, and the circulation means 4 circulates the cooling medium into the fuel cell for a prescribed time period, in response to a total pressure loss of the circulation flow passage 2 and the bypass flow passage 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
