<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient screening technique for animal embryoes through providing a means for detecting genetic abnormalities in animal embryoes at early stages. <P>SOLUTION: The means for easily discriminating the abnormality of gene expression using as a marker a gene which is specifically expressed in a donor cell but not in a normal embryo is provided. Using the means, the normality of an embryo can be confirmed at early stages, serving as an indicator for the superiority/inferiority of animal embryo-making technique. Further, if an embryo screened as normal at genetic level or a reconstructed embryo made using a technique with the preparation of normal nucleus-transplanted embryo by screening guaranteed is transplanted into a female surrogate, improvement of efficiency of developing animal embryo-making technique and reduction in ova tried in experiments and female animal individuals themselves used as female surrogates, or the like, can be accomplished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
