<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an semiconductor integrated circuit device for correctly emulating an operation immediately after the generation of a reset signal, and also to provide a microcomputer development supporting device including the semiconductor integrated circuit device. <P>SOLUTION: When command data for permitting stop control is stored in an operation setting register 29 which is arranged in a peripheral module 23 in an evaluation chip 14, the stop control circuit 30 of the peripheral module 23 stops the advance of an operation in a functional circuit 26 during a period till a CPU 22 completes the processing of a monitor program with respect to a brake interruption request. The operation setting register 29, the stop control circuit 30 and an interface circuit 27 are not reset in response to a reset signal RST 1 from a circuit board 12.
