PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an influence on a video screen by displaying an electronic program table when the electronic program table is displayed with the video screen, and a time lag between an instruction of the display and an actual display upon displaying the electronic program table. SOLUTION: A tuner device is provided with EPG extracting means 1 for extracting electronic program table data from video screen data; a program table storing means 2 for storing the electronic program table data; image synthesizing means 3 for outputting video data and synthesizing a position indicator which designates a position on the video screen by the electronic program table data and the video data with the video data to be outputted to a television receiver; and control means 4 for controlling the image synthesizing means 3 so as to display a video screen 23 on the television receiver, for switching display/non-display of a position indicator 5, for displaying the position indicator 5 on the video screen 23 to be shifted upon displaying the electronic program table 21, and for controlling the image synthesizing means 3 so as to display the electronic program table 21 of a portion which a neighborhood of the position indicator 5 allow to transmit the video screen 23.
