PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor preventing the formation of a clearance between a muffler cover and the upper surface of a main bearing flange and suppressing noise generation. SOLUTION: An annular projection 7a projected from an end surface to a compressing mechanism side is arranged on the periphery of the flange of the muffler cover 7.
