PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wafer type steam trap whose number of parts is reduced to simplify its structure. SOLUTION: The wafer type steam trap includes: a spiral wound gasket 3 whose gasket body 10 has an inner ring 12 at its inner periphery, and which is caught and fixed between a pair of flanges 6, 7 of pipes 4, 5 by means of outside connecting members such as bolts 8 and nuts 9; a peripheral wall 13 constituted of the inner ring 12 of the spiral wound gasket 3; an end wall 14 having an outlet hole 15 and attached to be airtight to the peripheral wall 13; and a valve member 2 arranged to face the outlet hole 15 to open/close the outlet hole 15.
