PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which improves the efficiency of harvesting works and the like and simultaneously improves reaping and harvesting works and threshing works on butts. SOLUTION: This combine harvester in which a reaping and transporting apparatus 3 is liftably and laterally slidably connected to a travel machine frame 2 and in which a thresher 4 equipped with a feed chain 15 on one of the right and left sides is characterized by disposing a grain straw guide 24 having a guide rod 22 extended from the reaping and transporting apparatus 3 in a state being in contact with the transport-starting end side upper portion of the feed chain 15 and used for guiding reaped grain straws from the reaping and transporting apparatus 3 to the feed chain 15, and a butt threshing cover 23 for covering an area ranged from the upper side of the guide rod 22 to the transport-starting end side of the feed chain 15, on one of the right and left sides of the reaping and transporting apparatus 3 disposed on the feed chain 15 side, and further disposing a maintaining mechanism 36 which permits the lateral movements of the reaping and transporting apparatus 3 on the basis of the grain straw guide 24 and maintains the grain straw guide 24 at a prescribed lateral position on the basis of the feed chain 15.
