PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algorithm and device for controlling a dynamic system in real time. SOLUTION: The active set algorithm optimally uses 'hot start' for a set of restrictive constraints while accompanying an effective linear algebra to achieve a rapid progress for problem solving. The linear algebra is designed to process retrogressive constraints by skipping most unnecessary preliminary processing steps if a regression appears when required factorization is carried out.
