METHOD OF DETECTING DISPLAY DEFECT IN LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL, AND INSPECTION DEVICE FOR DISPLAY DEFECT THEREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect various fine or very weak display defects in a short period of time. SOLUTION: Respective pixel dots 2 of a liquid crystal panel 1 are imaged in every color dot 3-5 constituting them, by a line sensor 6 of a pixel pitch having 1/n (n≥30) of pitch in the pixel dots 2 constituting the liquid crystal panel 1, resolution for an image is selected thereafter in response to a kind of the display defect of an object to analyze the picked-up image, and the the objective kind of display defect is detected based on the image of the selected resolution.
