PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling device devised capable of using sheet arranging time of a first sheet (a plurality of accumulated sheets) of a sheet bundle for another sheet arranging time. SOLUTION: This sheet handling device 2 is furnished with a compiling function to compile a specified number of sheets to be carried as one sheet bundle by accumulating them, also furnished with a compiling tray 105 to form one sheet bundle by accumulating the sheets to be supplied and a buffer part provided on the upstream side of a sheet carrier passage against this compiling tray 105 to carry a plurality of sheets (for example, two sheets) by accumulating them and supplies a plurality of these accumulated sheets to the compiling tray 105 by this buffer part by delaying them by a specified length of time.
