PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid supplying device which does not require electrical power, capable of automatically controlling the height of liquid level without using a ball tap or float ball or liquid shut-off valve, and which is able to supply liquid directly to a culture medium without using a water absorbing sheet or root blocking sheet. SOLUTION: At a lower part of a liquid supply tank (1), an air intake tube (2) and a liquid supply tube (3) are mounted, and at the lowest end portion of them the intake opening (12) of the air intake tube (2) is adapted to be disposed higher than the discharge opening (13) of the liquid supply tube (3), while the lowest ends of the air intake tube (2) and the liquid supply tube (3) are inserted into a liquid level detecting portion fixing tube (5) which has, at a lower part, foreign matter entry preventive net (6). The liquid level detecting portion fixing tube (5), and the air intake tube (2) and liquid supply tube (3) being fixed, are inserted into a liquid level detecting portion support tube (4) provided with a slit-like liquid flow outlet (15), the foreign matter entry preventive net (7) and with a lower lid (8).
