PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in a lock state and to improve operation feeling, in a seat sliding device. SOLUTION: A lock hole 25 is formed on a bottom wall surface 21 of a lower rail 2, a lock holder 4 provided with a lock hole 43, a lock plate 5 provided with a lock claw 51 and a lever holder 6 are mounted in an upper rail 3, and thereby a side space of a slide rail 1 is expanded. Since the lock hole 25 is formed on the bottom wall surface 21 of the lower rail 2 and the lock claw 51 of the lock plate 5 is engaged and disengaged with/from the lock hole 25 from the upper side, operation feeling is made excellent by making an operation angle of the lever holder 6 for operating the lock plate 5 larger and locking force can be improved by expanding plate thickness of the lock plate 5.
