Walk-behind electric working machine includes an operating handle section extending rearwardly from a rear portion of a machine body frame. The operating handle section includes a handle post removably attached to a handle support provided on a rear portion of the machine body frame, and a handle attached to the handle post and having left and right grip portions. The right grip portion includes a work preparing lever, and the left grip portion includes a work starting operation button. Electric motor for driving cultivating claws is activated in response to operation of both the work preparing lever and the work starting operation button.
