The appliance has a heater (1), a cold water intake pipe (22), and a water flow path between the two. The flow path has two or more functional parts, which are fastened to each other by plug connections. Each part has a flange at one end and a socket at the other end. One of the functional parts is a water pipe connected via its flange to the intake pipe. A second part is an impeller sensor unit (10), connected via it flange to the socket of the water pipe. The socket of the sensor unit is plugged into the flange of a water intake pipe of the heater. An electrical control unit (16) is fastened detachable via a holder (23) to the water pipe.
