<p>A brush portion provided on an outer surface of a front end part of a shaft is provided with a driving means for moving brushes linearly and reciprocatingly in the axial direction of the shaft, reciprocatingly around the axis of the shaft, and reciprocatingly around an axis along which the brush portion projects. Since the brush portion makes a combined movement of linear reciprocating movements in the axial direction of the shaft, reciprocating movements around the axis axis of the shaft, and reciprocating movements around the axis along which the brush portion projects, a tooth-brushing area increases. Moreover, the brush portion does not get caught between teeth owing to such movements thereof, and it is capable of cleaning teeth while embracing the surfaces as a whole of the teeth.</p> |
