<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric-actuator drive circuit capable of controlling a piezoelectric-stack with high precision irrespective of fluctuation in quality between individual elements or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This drive circuit is provided with charging means 12a, 12b that charge a piezoelectric-stack that is driven by charging and discharging within a prescribed charging period Tt, an operation means 19a that calculates volume of charge that is charged by the charging means 12a, 12b during a prescribed charging period Tt, and a drive controlling means 19 that compares the volume of charge calculated by the operation means 19a with the target volume of charge and corrects the volume of charge in the next charging process according to the difference. The volume of charge calculated by the operation means 19a is preferred to be charge energy that is obtained by measuring a charging current and a charging voltage that flow into the piezoelectric-stack 7 during the charging process, and by integrating the product of the measured charging current and charging voltage over time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
