<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polyolefin solution, which decreases a polymer loss and a solvent loss, reduces the number of processes and has excellent productivity and economic efficiency in a series of processes in which an α-olefin is polymerized to give a polyolefin and the polyolefin is modified with a modifier to produce the modified polyolefin solution. <P>SOLUTION: The modified polyolefin solution is produced by polymerizing the α-olefin to give the polyolefin and modifying the polyolefin with the modifier. The method for producing the modified polyolefin solution comprises a process for polymerizing the α-olefin in the presence of a polymerization catalyst in a liquid phase to give the polyolefin as a polymer in a state of a solution or a slurry and a process for reacting the obtained polymer with the modifier to modify the polyolefin.
