<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discharge papers after emergency stop and release without jamming an automatically dischargeable recorded material in a both face transfer path when emergency stop indication is received from a controller. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has an automatic double-face printing function, and is constituted in a manner to perform a printing action by indication from the controller.
