<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator installation control method performing zone control by separation of a user group associated with a zone to reduce waiting time of each user group to a minimum as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the control method for an elevator with several elevator cages in a building, and further relates to a method for dividing the floors of the building into several zones (Z1, Z2, Z3) and allocating travel orders to the cages. Since the separation is carried out by an effective zone control without disadvantages to user groups, an elevator cage with an allocation of a travel order out of or into one of the zones has no more allocation of any travel order out of or into another zone. Upon a call (nRZ2, NRZ2) after a new travel order, the number of free cages (fr) is compared with that of still unallocated or still unserved zones, and the new call is allocated based on the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
