<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coarse aggregate for concrete, which is produced from blast furnace slag and has a quality sufficient to be utilized in a concrete structure. <P>SOLUTION: The coarse aggregate is crushed aggregate obtained by cooling and solidifying molten blast furnace slag on a metal casting mold and then crushing the resulting solidified material, and has water absorption rate of≤1.5% and particle size of 5-20 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
