PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform to support the authoring and execution of business software applications.

SOLUTION: Business software applications are supported by a business software framework. The framework includes a plurality of class libraries of business components including business entities and business processes, and also includes the application framework having a programming model. The programming model provides a set of application services for relating the business components to one another and for providing desired services relative to the business components in order to obtain the business applications.
