<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mapping system capable of automatically generating an information map from geographical information. <P>SOLUTION: A mapping engine 100 is configured to generate an information map 116 by using geographical information 112 and white map data 115. Consequently, this system can use a digitized white map 115 representing a space of a given area, and existent area names and area codes. Further, the white map in use is such that areas on the map are saved as mutually different layers, and a color code is finally converted into a color code that a printing company specifies, but the mapping engine 100 uses, for example, a CMYK code as a specified color code. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
