LINE CONTROL METHOD, AND LINE CONTROL APPARATUS AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line control method and a line control apparatus and program, for selecting a second line for a main line to continue the service on the occurrence of a fault in a first line and for automatically registering an IP address of the second line to an external DNS server in opening the server into public on an IP network via a multi-port gateway.

SOLUTION: A flowchart of a program includes: steps SP2, SP4 of connecting a line 7-1 (i=1) to the IP network when the gateway is started; a step SP6 of informing a dynamic DNS server about the IP address of the line 7-1; a step SP12 of incrementing the variable i when occurrence of a fault in the line 7-1 is detected (SP10); and a step SP6 of connecting a next line 7-2 to the IP network and informing the dynamic DNS server about the IP address of the line 7-2.
