<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover a platinum group element, such as a waste catalyst, from a material containing the platinum group element by dry treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The dry recovering method for the platinum group element by heat melting the material containing the platinum group element and at least one kind of metal copper or copper oxide together with a flux component and a reducing agent, separating the molten metal in which the platinum group element is absorbed from the molten oxide and recovering the platinum group element from the molten metal is characterized in that a standing process of holding the molten metal for at least≥5 hours at 1,200 to 1,500°C before separating the molten metal from the molten oxide is provided after the heat melting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
