<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the bending of the base frame of an injection molding machine and to enhance the precision of the parallel movement of a movable platen. <P>SOLUTION: A second base frame 1b is provided inside a first base frame 1a for supporting an injection mechanism 3 and the fixed platen 5 and rear platen 7 of a mold clamping mechanism 2 (the second base frame 1b is shown between two breaking lines B for breaking the first base frame 1a). The movable platen 6 of the mold clamping mechanism 2 is supported by the second base frame 1b. The weight supported by the first base frame 1a is reduced by the weight of the movable platen 6 to reduce the bending of the first base frame 1a. Since the second base frame 1b supports only the movable platen 6, the bending of the second base frame 1b is reduced. Accordingly, the parallelism of the movable platen 6 can be held with respect to the fixed platen 5 with high precision and the on/off mold clamping operation of the molds 12 and 13 attached to the fixed platen 5 and the movable platen 6 can be performed with high precision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
