PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mechanical design of a transducer so as to produce a fully automatic transducer, particularly, an extremely miniaturized transducer whose diameter is 10mm or less, without much costs and quality deterioration of the transducer. SOLUTION: In a miniaturized acoustic transducer (1) based on electrodynamic principals including a housing (6) composed of a deeply drawn steel plate, a magnet mechanism part (4) with a magnet (9) and a diaphragm (14) equipped with a coil (13) wherein a wire (5) communicated to a contact portion (15) is pulled out. The housing (6) with the outer diameter of 20mm at a maximum is composed of a thin steel plate with the average thickness of 0.2mm at a maximum, the magnet mechanism part (4) includes a lower magnetic pole plate and an upper magnetic pole plate (10), and the magnetic plate (10) is composed of a steel plate with at least 1.5-fold thickness of the average thickness for the base of the housing (6). In one embodiment, the magnet system includes a magnetic cup (8) in place of the lower magnetic pole plate. A method for producing such a sort of transducer is also intended.
