PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a modem DSP in regard to telephone line control in modem communication equipment using a silicon DAA. SOLUTION: In the modem communication equipment, a bus switch 18 and a bus switch controller 19 are provided for switching and connecting a silicon DAA secondary circuit 14 to a host CPU 11 and a modem DSP 12, separately. A line control command from the host CPU 11 is transmitted directly to the silicon DAA secondary circuit 14 without intervened by the modem DSP 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
