PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop the rotation of a disk when ejecting the disk rotating at a high speed by movement of a tray. SOLUTION: A CD-ROM drive 11 has a braking member 51 which is brought into slide contact with the outer periphery of a disk D<SB>A</SB>during an ejection operation, fixed to the inside of a side face 18c which rises in an extension part 18b extended to the right of a chassis 18. A soft material such as a felt or a sponge is used for the braking member 51 so as not to damage the outer periphery of the disk D<SB>A</SB>. Moreover, the braking member 51 doesn't obstruct the operation of a tray guide mechanism 17 and a pickup part 23 when a tray 12 is loaded into the device, because the braking member 51 is provided at a position separated from the outer periphery of the disk D<SB>A</SB>. The disk D<SB>A</SB>is braked in the ejection operation process of the tray 12 by friction with a braking member 13 and is drawn to a disk exchange position in a stopped state.
