PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a language learning system by listening and typing. SOLUTION: In the language learning system, a learner listens to a speech and answers a question by typing. This process helps learner's memory via key operations for answering a text. In the system, the learner's answer is monitored and the learner is provided with a dynamic hint to complete the answer so that the learner's interest is aroused and the learning efficiency is enhanced. The system is constituted of a speech database (11), a speech reproduction module (12), a dynamic hint module (13), an input analysis module (14), an input monitoring module (15), and a reproduction setting module (16).
