PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel which is excellent in the uniformity of an activator in phosphor layers and shows high luminance and sharpness and a method for manufacturing the panel. SOLUTION: The radiation image conversion panel which has stimulable phosphor layers on a support is characterized in that at least one of the stimulable phosphor layers is formed by a gas-phase method (or a gas-phase lay-up method) so as to have the film thickness of 50μm to 100mm and the stimulable phosphor layer is the support which has two or more layers.
