PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a boride fine particle having a particle diameter exhibiting excellent insolation shield function at a low cost, a boride fine particle manufactured by the manufacturing method and a dispersion for forming an insolation shield body using the boride fine particle. SOLUTION: The dispersion 8 for forming the insolation shield body is prepared by dropping an NH<SB>4</SB>OH solution as an alkali solution 2 in an aqueous La(NO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>6H<SB>2</SB>O solution as a compound X solution 1 while stirring 11 to precipitate 12, washing 13 the precipitate, drying to obtain La hydroxide having 0.02μm average particle diameter as X hydroxide 3, mixing 16 the resultant La hydroxide with B<SB>4</SB>C 4 having 1,000 nm average particle diameter, firing 17 at <1,600°C to obtain LaB<SB>6</SB>particle as the boride fine particle 6 suitable as the insolation sheald body and mixing and dispersing 18 toluene or the like as a solvent 7 with the resultant boride fine particle 6.
